Shall I part my hair behind? Do I dare to eat a peach?
I shall wear white flannel trousers, and walk upon the beach.
I have heard the mermaids singing, each to each.
I do not think that they will sing to me.
I have seen them riding seaward on the waves
Combing the white hair of the waves blown back
When the wind blows the water white and black.
We have lingered in the chambers of the sea
By sea-girls wreathed with seaweed red and brown
Till human voices wake us, and we drown.
- The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock, by T.S Elliot.

heya! Today went church. Awesome service! It was the missions outreach thing, and before the sermon started, we had a little 'performance'. A long row of drummers with various Asian flags pasted on their faces was lined around the stage area. Then the singers sang this really cool song written by City Harvest musicians! It had a good tune and meaningful lyrics. I remember a few lines.. "
By Your spirit, O Lord, we claim the nations", "
By Your Word of truth, we're crossing lines to claim the lost for You". Darn, the tune is gone from my head. =p But it rocked! And then while we were singing, people dressed in the various Asian countries' costumes paraded out from backstage. It was such a awesome display of colours!
Today's sermon was by Pastor Kong. Lol. He's a funny guy. Corny at times, but funny. Haha! He's a great person who can really command respect and influence thousands. He's a great addition to God's kingdom, as he wholeheartedly loves God and fervently loves people. He's knowledgable and just totally awesome! Anyway, today he shared a sermon on
7 keys to receiving miracles and revival. I shall just post the lot here:
1. Draw near to God
2. Repair your devotion
3. Get your life in order
4. Give an offering
5. Make a sacrifice
6. Release your faith AGAIN and AGAIN
7. Pray for a miracle
All these are derived from
1 Kings 18:21 on the story of Elijah. Because of what Elijah did before praying,
HIS PRAYER HAS POWER!. Other stuff I learnt from this sermon is that
Faith is a SUBSTANCE! Yeah! And Our God is a Consuming Fire!
CITY HARVEST WILL CLAIM ASIA FOR GOD!
Lol. Anyway, it was a powerful service, that's all i can say. Lots of hype and prayer, and lots of worship! Awesome stuff!
Anyway, took some piccies today for the fun of it. Tomorrow's got school and I haven't finished my homework. Grrr. Anyway, here's a piccie of your luvly blogger!
Haha! So chio!! =p -cough- i bet some of you are rolling your eyes, right? Sigh.. Oh well.. I set up a little album, click
