Shall I part my hair behind? Do I dare to eat a peach?
I shall wear white flannel trousers, and walk upon the beach.
I have heard the mermaids singing, each to each.

I do not think that they will sing to me.
I have seen them riding seaward on the waves
Combing the white hair of the waves blown back
When the wind blows the water white and black.

We have lingered in the chambers of the sea
By sea-girls wreathed with seaweed red and brown
Till human voices wake us, and we drown.

- The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock, by T.S Elliot.

but love without pain isn't really romance.
Day 9: I Miss You by Incubus
Sunday, October 31, 2010 /8:28 PM

This evening, C sent me this song by Incubus that made me feel all warm inside:

to see you when i wake up
is a gift i didn't think could be real.
to know that you feel the same as i do
is a three-fold Utopian dream.

you do something to me that i can't explain.
so would i be out of line?
if i said, i miss you.

i see your picture, i smell your skin
on the empty pillow next to mine.
you have only been gone ten days
but already i'm wasting away.

i know i'll see you again whether far or soon.
but i need you to know,
that i care & i miss you.

miss you.

Thanks, C. You make me smile:)
